Did You Know The Only Being Who Can Kill Kratos?

⚔️ McShiharo Legacy — God of War Lore

Kratos has died many times and come back just as often. From being killed by Ares to falling to Zeus’s blade, and even dying by his own hand, death never seems to stick. Why is that? And more importantly is there anything in existence that can truly, permanently end him?

Phase One – Rage

At first, it was rage. His vengeance gave him the strength to defy the Underworld itself. When Kratos died after being impaled by Ares, it wasn’t divine intervention that dragged him back it was the force of his own hatred. Rage that strong doesn’t recognize death as an obstacle. It recognizes it as an inconvenience.

Phase Two – Athena’s Curse

But later, it became something darker. Athena cursed Kratos, declaring that someone who murdered their own family could never take their own life. He cannot die by suicide. And no god not Zeus, not Odin has been able to permanently end him either. The curse does not protect him out of mercy. It punishes him by making him endure.

“No god. No blade. No hand not even his own.”

The Answer Lies in Blood and Prophecy

Kratos comes from a cursed Greek lineage. The pattern has repeated without interruption since the beginning of the divine order, driven every generation by fate.

🔴 Uranus was killed by his son Cronus.

🔴 Cronus was killed by his son Zeus.

🔴 Zeus was killed by his son Kratos.

🟢 Kratos now has a son of his own Atreus.

Each cycle driven by fate. The pattern has never once been broken.

Can Atreus Resist the Cycle❓

While Kratos may have broken the prophecy in Ragnarök, the curse of patricide still lingers in the bloodline. Atreus is the only being in existence with both the means and the lineage to end Kratos permanently. Whether he ever will is the question that may define the next chapter of the saga entirely.

Every father in this lineage believed his son would be different. Every one of them was wrong.

💬 McShiharo Take

Gods have tried. Titans have tried. Kratos himself has tried. None of it has worked. The answer was never a god. It was always a son. Uranus, Cronus, Zeus, Kratos every name in that list was once a father who believed the cycle would end with him. Every one of them was wrong.
